Covered & Heated Driving Range Bays in Orlando, FL

4 of the 98 driving ranges, golf courses and golf businesses we list in Orlando have covered or heated bays.

Rain does not cancel practice if the bay has a roof. These ranges have covered stalls, and in colder states heaters in them, so the line stays open through weather that empties everywhere else. In summer the same roof is shade, which matters more than it sounds in the south.

Covered does not always mean heated. A roof keeps the rain off but a January session without heaters is short. Call and ask specifically about heat if you plan to practise through winter.

Covered & Heated Driving Range Bays near Orlando

Good to know

Are driving ranges open in the rain?

Covered ranges usually stay open through rain and only close for lightning. Open-air grass ranges close far more readily, because carts cannot collect balls and the tee line churns up.

Do heated bays actually work in winter?

Overhead heaters keep a bay usable down to freezing, though the ball flies shorter in cold air and the mat is harder. Below freezing most players move indoors to a simulator.

Is a covered bay worth paying more for?

Where they charge extra it is usually a dollar or two on the bucket. In a wet season that is the difference between practising and not.
